Dean McCarthy

Vice President of Operations

Dean is the VPO of Valley Services Construction and leads up the Operations and Business Development here at VSC. His Core functions include –  

  • Process (Operations/Estimating) creation & Implementation.
  • High level Project Management
  • Team Building & Coaching.
  • Business Development.
  • Client Relations.
  • ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system development & upgrading. 
  • CSM Development & Implementation.

Dean has over 30 years of industry experience both as an owner/operator of a custom home building & remodeling company in the Adirondack Park region of upstate NY, and as a Director of Operations for a Multi-State REO General contractor, and all points in between. Over the span of his career, Dean has been directly involved in the building/remodeling of over 15,000 homes. He was also a licensed RE agent in NY, where he learned the Real Estate business acting as a buyers/seller’s agent, and also as his firm’s Rental manager.

Dean thoroughly enjoys maximizing his clients’ ROI potential while at the same time creating beautiful spaces for new property owners and rental tenants alike. 

Known for his ability to empower his team members, and for implementing cross-functional training to achieve maximum force multiplication – his direct, results oriented leadership style have been the foundation for VSC’s success. 

His personal creed has always been. to “Make it Right” and his passion is to leave the construction industry in a better place than when he started. 

He is also a strong advocate for the quality conscious builder/tradespeople everywhere and is committed to reversing the many negative stigmas and perceptions attached to the Construction Industry as a whole.

Amanda Reidy

Operations Manager

Amanda is the Operations Manager here at VSC. She sets and implements all internal operations processes, and “Best in Class” procedures that keeps the VSC engine turning and our clients happy! She is the glue that holds the team together! 

Amanda started her career with Treehouse Group as an office manager and then moved to an AP Specialist once the migration from Treehouse to Invitation Homes was complete.

Amanda started with VSC in June of 2016 and has been instrumental in the development of the VSC operations model and our continued growth! She looks forward to working with you in your next property rejuvenation!

In her spare time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family (Husband Steven & three children), and also enjoys camping, trips to the high country, and creating awesome food and memories for her family and friends!

Mitch Gai

Production Manager

Mitch is VSC’s Production Manager. He is responsible for creating and implementing the In-field operational excellence that helps VSC to stand apart from our competitors. He is passionate about client experience excellence, quality construction, and keeping our clients in the loop at ALL touchpoints of their projects. He is also integral in VSC’s business development, client portfolio & project management, and all points in between!

After high school, Mitch earned a bachelor’s degree from ASU in Business Administration and Sustainability. After college, he gained several years of experience in Project Management, Remodeling (Specializing in Investor Fix & Flip), and CSM development & implementation. When not excelling & closing renovations, Mitch enjoys spending time with his family (Wife and daughter), traveling, and is a huge fan of all San Francisco sports teams (Niners, Giants, and Warriors)! Alex Simental

Vendor Manager

Alex is VSC’s Vendor Manager. He is responsible for Recruiting, on-boarding, and nurturing the development of all of VSC’s Trade partners. He is also responsible for Vendor/material supplier onboarding and relationship development. 

Alex has been with Valley Services for six years and has worked his way from our Facility Maintenance Commercial Cleaning vertical to the Construction side of the house where he has performed project management duties as well. Alex is an extremely valuable team member in mentoring our trade partners from onboarding to top tier performance!

Born in Mexico, Alex came to the US in Junior High school. A bi-lingual manager, Alex has been critical to the development of our historically underserved trade partners and vendors. 

When not busy with the multitude of vendor manager duties, Alex enjoys spending time with his family (Wife & four children), camping, outdoors here in AZ and is an avid shooting enthusiast.

Steven Reidy

Project Manager

Steven is our ace closer and comes to VSC after 20 years in loss prevention management. The analytical skills he sharpened in the retail loss prevention profession have served our clients extremely well!

After high school, Steven received his associate degree in computer Networking & Information Technology and went to work at Hewlett-Packard Help Desk. 

Seeking a change of pace, and looking for more excitement, he went to work for a major US retailer where he was promoted to a loss prevention Manager.

Steven is responsible for all projects in the East Valley and specializes in REIT project management. His attention to detail and high efficiency ensures all of his projects deliver on time and under budget!

When not impressing our clients and managing multiple renovations simultaneously, Steven enjoys spending time with his family (wife Amanda, and 3 children), as well as spending time outdoors, off-roading, sport shooting, and travel to the high country. 

Jason Dunn

Project Manager

Jason is our Hybrid PM. With his multiple years of project management experience in various aspects of property improvement and commercial TI, Jason can adapt to any type of project that comes his way.

Jason has been in the renovations industry since 2010 in various positions – starting as a painter and over time learning each trade as it was introduced to me. He is experienced in drywall, electrical, plumbing, minor HVAC, painting, and flooring. He moved up in the ranks to Project management and have learned skills in customer relations, time management, and crew/vendor relations. 

Jason always strives to create a relaxing and productive environment with clear instructions on reaching goals that are presented and offer suggestions to improve areas in need. When not managing multiple projects, he enjoys spending time with his family (wife & daughter), camping with family and friends, and recreational shooting with co-workers and friends.
